Verdict
Ikhtiraaq didn’t see much daylight on his reappearance at Newmarket but the form of his yard continues to be a cause for concern. Notions made a winning return to action at Goodwood but has not run up to that form since. CONSERVATIVE (NAP) and Western Writer are both heading in the right direction and the latter will racing off a 3lb higher mark in the future but he hasn’t managed to win in three previous tries over a mile so the former is preferred.
