The two winning favourites in the last nine renewals returned at 6/1 and 13/2 and GEORGE BOWEN is a similar price ante-post. He was only beaten a head in the Ayr Silver Cup by stablemate and today's rival Tatlisu three weeks ago and re-opposes on better terms today with Jack Garrity taking a further 3lb off his back. Ayr Gold Cup form is represented by runner-up Poyle Vinnie, who finished in front of Golden Steps, last year's second Highland Acclaim, Lexington Abbey, Blaine and Red Pike while Go Far won the Ayr Bronze Cup and should go well again. Aetna was well beaten in this last year and Eccleston and several others including Nameitwhatyoulike finished behind the selection at Ayr. Basil Berry and Robot Boy may cope with soft ground better than Suzi's Connoisseur and could go well at a price.
