        Verdict

        Mattice couldn't go the early pace at Beverley but stayed on strongly close home and will improve massively for the experience. Secret Strength was also very green at Newmarket despite starting favourite and should appreciate easier ground conditions. ALBAHR is by Dubawi out of a mare who has produced winners with her first three offspring including an Australian Group 1 winning two-year-old. He gets the nod as several of these rivals look as though they will need further though Rizg is by No Nay Never out of a 7f winner so should have plenty of pace. Yaahobby could be the main threat as he cost 300,000gns being by Kodiac out of a mare who won in Pattern race company over 6-7f as a two-year-old.
