In depth
Verdict
Harvest Warrior was impressive in stringing out a Class 4 field at Beverley last time and with the ground similar here he is a confident choice to follow up, with Greek Envoy a danger and Blue Spinnaker and European Dream others with chances. The selection hails from the in form Tim Easterby yard and was value for greater than the five length margin of his defeat of Riley Boys at Beverley last time. Although he has never won beyond a mile he has shown that he stays 10f so this trip should be ideal for him and he can follow up. Greek Envoy was a soft ground 10f Leicester winner last time, when he looked as though he had strengthened up well in the winter and Tom Tate is more than capable of eliciting further improvement, so the Diktat gelding can again go very well. European Dream has been contesting races over a mile of late, winning two of those at Redcar and Ripon. He handles cut well, but he was swamped at Newcastle last time and has a bit to prove, while Blue Spinnaker is capable of going well here but probably needs a drop in the weights to win, and preference is for Harvest Warrior, who can go in again.
