A very difficult-looking handicap further complicated by the fact that David O’Meara, who sent out the winner in 2021, saddles the four at the foot of the weights who are all potentially well treated. Autumn Festival may be the pick of the quartet as the going is likely to be too quick for Pisanello while Zozimus got outpaced in the Cambridgeshire a couple of weeks ago so may not be suited by the drop in distance. The Haggas yard saddled last year’s winner and are doubly represented. Millebosc was clear of the remainder when just worn down by the rallying Sparks Fly at Haydock last month but Lattam will need to reverse Goodwood running with HAFEET ALAIN. Previously thought best on the all-weather, Ed Walker’s seven-year-old has shown himself to be just as effective on Turf this year and regular pilot Connor Planas takes off a handy 3lb again. Northern Express loves it here but was only sixth in this last year racing off an 8lb lower mark. La Trinidad is another course specialist but Star Of Orion is best over 7f.
