      Verdict

      MAINSTREAM has won twice at a lower level but has finished close up in this grade and his two runs this season, especially when staying on in the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap at Ascot, suggest he's ready to score again. Lustrous Light wasn't too far behind at the Royal fixture but Oasis Fantasy was well beaten. Azari, who was hurdling in the spring before winning a Wolverhampton claimer, has run well in two subsequent starts on this track though at a slightly lower level. Beardwood signalled an imminent victory when just held by Euginio at Sandown where he wasn't helped by being impeded close home so he's an obvious threat. Night Of Glory has joined Andrew Balding after a maiden victory at the Curragh and finding 1m6f beyond him in the Queen's Vase.
