      Verdict

      This should go to old favourite Persian Punch. Unlucky in this race two years ago, when he slipped on leaving the stalls, he has a great chance to put matters right. He may have most to fear from the tough Zindabad, who will be tackling this trip for the first time. He has nothing to fear from Boreas, who in turn holds Akbar. The genuine Hannibal Lad, has too much on his plate, while Sydenham is an interesting runner. From the yard who tasted success in this event with Kayf Tara, he has a bit to do on official figures, but he may find improvement for the step up in trip. The progressive Jardines Lookout, looks a horse to follow this term and there should not be much between him and Persian Punch, but it has been reported he may need this first run of the season.
