In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston’s yard has won two of the last four renewals and his three runners all have a shout. Silvestre De Sousa partners recent Newmarket runner-up Fraser Island and Rochester House could go well on his handicap debut while Summer Moon won nicely at Windsor last time for which he’s penalised. Dancin Boy faces a tougher task after scoring at Redcar while Skymax returns to action having won at Newmarket in October and steps up in distance along with LAAFY. The latter came out best in a fight to the line with odds-on favourite over 1m2f at Leicester on his reappearance and this extra distance will suit on that evidence. Beechwood Jude was second over today’s trip at Doncaster last month and also has a shout though this is more difficult.
