Verdict

Taxiwala was narrowly beaten at Doncaster on his debut and should be thereabouts at the finish but GLASVEGAS is preferred. The latter caught the eye finishing strongly at Musselburgh having been slowly away but the line came just too soon and he was beaten a neck. Il Maestro failed to show any improvement at Pontefract last time and Perregrin was still well beaten when third at Bath. Karl Burke has won two of the last four renewals and No Mercy, a half-brother to a winning sprinter, should be noted along with fellow newcomers Laughing Crusader and Bella Brazil.
