In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston trained the first two in last year’s renewal and runs two again today. But Charles Kingsley doesn’t look particularly well treated judged on this year’s three placed efforts and FIRE FIGHTING (NAP) is preferred. The latter is now back on a winning mark and was beaten only a length in a tougher race at Newmarket last time. Theglasgowwarrior could only manage fourth in this last year but Morning Wonder won a decent handicap at Doncaster last term and could be in the mix. Placed over 1m6f recently, Seafarer won over today’s trip last season but Ashington is 11lb higher than when scoring at Brighton in August.
