Verdict

Dance Diva didn’t do much wrong when third in the Fred Darling at Newbury but winner Dan’s Dream was well beaten in the 1000 Guineas subsequently. Threading was favourite for the Nell Gwyn on her reappearance but finished behind Juliet Foxtrot, who was only a place behind subsequent 1000 Guineas winner Billesdon Brook. Sheikha Reika was unlucky not to win last year but made no mistake dropped to 7f at Newmarket last month and can build on that. Awesometank won a competitive nursery over course and distance in October and handled the step up to Listed company later when fourth at Newmarket. She’ll handle the ground but DARK ROSE ANGEL would be the one to beat if reproducing her run behind Laurens in the May Hill at Doncaster last year.
