In depth
Verdict
A fairly open looking nursery, where the honours can be fought out by Bahamian Breeze, Blue Tomato and Happy Holiday, with preference going to Bahamian Breeze. Jeremy Noseda's colt has come on nicely in his two outings so far, being touched off at Yarmouth before coming good last time at Thirsk, both those over the minimum trip. The step up to six furlongs here should suit and although he has run only on firm ground so far, being by Piccolo, good to firm should also suit. Blue Tomato has to give plenty of weight to the selection, but is entitled to do so after wins over course and distance and also at Goodwood last time. Raised 12lb for that comfortable success, it will be much tougher for him now and he may just be found wanting. Of the remainder, perhaps Happy Holiday is one to catch for the minor placings after coming good at Haydock last time. The Fasilyev-colt has taken a fair bit of time to come to hand, but now he has done so and is proven over this trip, he can chase home the other pair in this decent contest, but we are happy to stick with Bahamian Breeze.
