Verdict

Bandari has been called a few names in the past but he answered his critics in some style when slamming First Charter by seven lengths in a Group 3 at Goodwood and he is selected as the Teamtalk pick in this Group 2 contest. On the book, he is strictly clear of these but provided he does not boil over in the preliminaries, he should be capable of landing what is in all honesty, a weak renewal of the race. Tim Easterby has spoken of Bollin Eric as a possible St Leger horse and while he too has the beating of First Charter, he will need to produce a career best today. Bustan was behind him on that day but met with all sorts of traffic problems. He looks very much a horse to be on the right said of and it would be wrong to disregard him on the basis of that run. Terry Mills' Frankies Dream bids to give a bloody nose to the big yards but may have preferred it a little softer while Highest and Systematic have performed well in handicap company and attempt to step up today.
