Verdict

Most of these arrive here with solid reputations and are worthy of plenty of respect in their own right. However, the really interesting one has to be Islington, who returns to racing against her own sex here today after more than holding her own against the likes on Nayef and Falbrav in recent targets such as the Prince Of Wales' Stakes and the Coral Eclipse. Sir Michael Stoute's game filly is taken to repeat last year's win in this race at the main expense of Oaks heroine Casual Look - with Summitville and L'Ancresse only adding further spice to a top-quality renewal of this Group 1. The fast ground will hold no fears for the daughter of Saddlers Wells and, with race-fitness now on her side, she may prove to be too experienced for her rivals here. Casual Look obviously has to be seriously considered and has held her form well since Epsom. She is preferred to Summitville to chase the selection home. Chorist has been progressive this term but, like Zee Zee Top, she looks up against it with Islington in the field.
