Bright Approach made a winning start on ground with some give in April of last year and has run on much quicker ground subsequently including the Group 1 Nassau Stakes last time. She's likely to do better here while Desert Snow also appeared to find the going too quick behind today's rival Jordan Princess in a Listed contest at Newmarket though she's only won on the all-weather so far. The winner won't mind the conditions and appeared to find 1m6f taxing her stamina last time so she can go well but the younger generation have won the last four of these and they could have the call again. Suffused was denied by shock winner Journey at Salisbury and steps up to this trip for the first time, as does SHOAL but it's the latter who looks to have more scope than any of these rivals. She's a full sister to the top-class Midday, who won the Yorkshire Oaks here in 2010, and is related to several other winners. She only won a Nottingham maiden last month but gave notice of much better things to come and will be happier on this easier ground.
