Verdict

The Stoute yard won this last year and Pat Smullen is an interesting booking for Royal Seal, who has been running well at this sort of level without quite getting there. Dusky Queen beat her just under two lengths here in May but was receiving 4lb and the weights favour her rival this time. Three-year-olds have won three of the four renewals and have a strong hand this time around. MISTRUSTING (NAP) looked very impressive when beating her stable companion Wordcraft at Newmarket last week and it's no surprise to see her coming here with a penalty. She's only had four runs and looks capable of improving into Group class and gets the nod. Enlace landed a similar class handicap at Goodwood and connections can hardly complain with a 4lb rise while Spangled showed that her easy maiden victory at Lingfield was no fluke by landing a tough three-year-old handicap at Newmarket. Secret Hint was well beaten on her only start at the trip though she's improved markedly since then but Margaret's Mission completed her hat-trick over a mile and couldn't quite go the pace when a close third over this trip at Doncaster.
