Verdict

A number seem on the upgrade QUANTUM IMPACT taken to land a third success in six starts. A progressive juvenile, he was only fourth of eight on seasonal reappearance at Goodwood but wasn't beaten at all far in a manner suggesting he'd derive considerable benefit from the outing. He also tackles a mile for the first time and his style of running suggests it will be within his compass. Saxon King, seeking three on the bounce, gets the trip well and remains dangerous off his new mark of 86 off the back of a comfortable Newmarket success. He's certainly going the right way and is well respected. Maximilian Caesar routed his field at Doncaster over this trip on reappearance and has to remain of interest despite being hiked 9lb for the win and raised a level in grade.
