Adrian Otaegui remains hopeful of challenging for a Ryder Cup debut after claiming his second European Tour title at the inaugural Belgian Knockout.

The Spaniard saw off Jorge Campillo and David Drysdale before birdieing four of his final six holes to defeat Benjamin Hebert by two shots in the final in Antwerp.

Otaegui, who also won the Paul Lawrie Match Play event last year, has posted top-20 finishes in each of his last six European Tour starts and has moved back inside the world's top 100.

The 25-year-old is also up inside the top 25 of the Ryder Cup qualification points list and hasn't given up hope of being part of Thomas Bjorn's plans at Le Golf National.

"I did very well at the end," Otaegui told Sky Sports. "Thomas (Bjorn), if you're looking at me, I like match play!

"There's still a lot of the season to go, obviously the good events coming now with the Rolex Series and lots of points. The season is still very long but yeah, I'm looking for Ryder Cup in a few months."

Tournament host Thomas Pieters, whose sister and brother-in-law promoted the event, secured a place in the 2016 European side and remains hopeful of challenging for a place again this year.

"It (securing qualification) can go really quick," Pieters told Sky Sports. "If you win next week (at the BMW PGA Championship) then I might be right up there and might be in the team.

"I know that if I'm in form over the next three or four months, then I know I'd have a good chance and Thomas (Bjorn) will look at me I think."
