Verdict

Unowhatimeanharry is a teenager now but did win over course and distance in November under Kevin Brogan and is only a pound higher, though finished behind both Come On Teddy and Champagne Platinum in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham. The latter has had a very light campaign and so has Southfield Harvest, who should get closer to Newbury conqueror Polish on more favourable terms. Vision Des Flos is a former Grade 2 winner but has never impressed over 3m while Barnaviddaun is having a first run for David Bridgwater having won twice in Ireland. It was heavy going when WHIRLING DERVISH scored in game fashion at Thurles last month but he won his maiden on a faster surface last year. He’s run well without winning on a couple of previous raids on these shores and his luck may change today with Irish Grand National hero Ricky Doyle taking 3lb off Jonny Levins’ stayer. Corrieben Reiver has returned from injury in fine form and Kid Commando is also worth considering as he might enjoy a step up in trip. Coral Cup third Tea Clipper, the in-form J'ai Froid and Ballybegg, who runs in this rather the following Grade 1, are others on a long shortlist.
