In depth

Verdict

Tara Mill showed his best form since arriving from Ireland when runner-up at Hexham but was engaged at Sedgefield yesterday. Winning point-to-pointer ERNE RIVER showed the benefit of his opening run over timber with a comfortable victory at Doncaster where he looked to have something in hand. He should be too good for Kelso winner Franks Fancy, who found Class 2 company too hot to handle here last time, and Stormin Norman, who is also penalised for a victory at Sedgefield in October. Fantastic Rock, a winning bumper in France, was heavily supported on just his second start for Sandy Thompson here last month and though beaten a length by Geronimo had the remainder a long way behind.
