Verdict

Sublimity appears to have been found a good opportunity to progress up the ladder, and he is taken to land the hat trick, at the main expense of Evolving Tactics and Tuning Fork. The latter was second in the Dante Stakes on only his second career start, and would have great claims on that form, but was bitterly disappointing when odds-on favourite at Newmarket last time, finishing last of six, with both Roskilde and Dust Cover ahead of him. Whilst it would be no surprise to see Tuning Fork put that run behind him, it must be said that the Henry Cecil horses are under something of a cloud at the moment, and he is easily opposed. Evolving Tactics won a Cork maiden earlier this year, and was far from disgraced in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, finishing ninth behind Indian Haven. Although Great Pyramid was ahead of him that day, Aidan O'Brien's horse has disappointed subsequently and Evolving Tactics is fancied to reverse the form. However, Sublimity is strongly fancied to beat then all. Sir Michael Stoute's colt did not see a racecourse last year, and threw away his chance on his racecourse debut at Newmarket by hanging violently to the left in the closing stages, when he appeared to have the race at his mercy. The application of a tongue-strap appeared to make a huge difference on his next start at York, as he scored with a deal of authority from the odds-on favourite, Fatik. Sublimity followed that up with a smooth win in a conditions race at Newmarket, this extra two furlongs will be well within his compass and he is strongly fancied to land the hat trick under Kieren Fallon.
