Verdict
Beauchamp Rose has the best form on offer and gets a confident vote to land this opening race, with Blazeaway and Hoh Viss the pick of the rest. Gerard Butler's filly appreciated the step up to 10 furlongs with a fine second in a Sandown handicap last time out. A proven fast ground performer who stands out on form, she can lose her maiden tag here. Hoh Viss shaped with promise last time out at Sandown, finishing fourth, and looks the likely danger. Les Arcs has to improve significantly on his racecourse bow at Bath, but hails from the John Gosden stable which is in fine form at present and cannot be entirely ruled out, while Blazeaway has been disappointing in his last couple of starts but Mark Johnston's colt would certainly have claims on some of his juvenile form. However, Beauchamp Rose is open to more improvement at this trip and should land the spoils
