With a small field and no obvious pacemaker this could prove to be a tactical affair so it may not be worth getting too heavily involved, but Arpeggio just gets the vote ahead of Allegrina. The latter only just scraped home in a weak looking maiden at Beverley last time out. However, this lighly raced three-year-old is open to more improvement than her rivals and should like the step up to 10 furlongs, so is an obvious threat here. Active Account is another who should appreciate the return to this trip, but tends to do better off a strong pace so may struggle here. Emerging Star has disappointed since his two-year-old days when he showed some promise, and has changed stables recently, but Arpeggio is normally consistent and looks the safest option from a stable in form. David Nicholls' gelding was slightly disappointing at Windsor last time, but had earlier put up a fine effort when going down by just a short head at Nottingham, and deserves to get his head in front.
