Verdict
Final Dividend returned to form at Brighton last time and is fancied to land this race for the second year running. James Eustace's seven-year-old won this race last year and bids to follow up now off a six pounds higher mark. He returned to form with a win at Brighton last time and with Joanna Rees again in the saddle could prove hard to beat. Flying Spirit was only just behind the selection at Brighton and this consistent performer seems sure to go well again for Sarah Bosley, while Digger has some fair turf form to his name, but is really best on an all-weather surface. Needwood Brave was returning from a very long absence when second in a similar race at Haydock last time and certainly has place claims at least on that form, but Final Dividend appears to have the best credentials and should prove hard to beat.
