Following penalised runners in bumpers is always a dangerous game and the likes of Martha's Kinsman and Moorlands Return have it all to do against some of these unexposed types. Therefore, a chance is taken with Dangerous Dan Mcgo, whose debut form was given a really solid boost when Here's Johnny hacked up at Huntingdon earlier in the week. It would be folly to suggest none of the newcomers would be up to giving the selection a good run for the money though and moves for any of The Jolly Beggar, Gulabill and Hey Boy should be noted with interest. While The Fridge and Fleetwood Forest both shaped up well on their debuts and have to be placed on the shortlist as well. However, Dangerous Dan Mcgo showed enough promise on his debut to suggest that he will be winning races sooner rather than later and, assuming he runs to the level of his first start, he is the one to be on in the finale to a tough day of racing at Ascot.
