          Verdict

          Overstrand gets the vote here with Tom Paddington and Sud Bleu also shortlisted in a competitive affair. The selection has a 12lb penalty for his impressive win over Our Vic at Sandown earlier in the month, but trainer Mary Reveley has reported that he has come out of that race in good heart, and he should take all the beating. Tom Paddington and Sud Bleu represent two of the main dangers and they were the first two home in a competitive race at Newbury last month. Both will be suited by a strong pace and they are expected to go well, but Sud Bleu was noted staying on in pleasing fashion in that race on his reappearance after a breathing operation and he could be a major player here. Visibility is a course and distance winner from the Martin Pipe yard but he was pulled-up last month at Cheltenham behind Rigamarole. He had previously run well when defeating Shalako here, but this is much tougher. Mughas is another than can't be ruled out as this gelding from the Alan King yard has won his last two races in the style of an improver and he could yet defy another rise in the weights. This is a difficult race to call, but we are happy to side with the Mary Reveley gelding Overstrand.
