      Verdict

      An interesting contest in which Jaybejay bids to make up for leaving the money in the bookies' satchels at Wincanton last time. In what proved to be a race of many twists and turns, Martin Pipe's charge found himself some 15 lengths clear with one to jump, but came down. That blip apart, he normally jumps soundly, and goes well on a right-handed track, so is the one to beat. However, it might not be plain sailing with Bow Strada and Hitman in opposition, both useful novices themselves. Ins And Outs was disappointing last time, but Bronzemith, the mount of Timmy Murphy, and Iris Collonges, are both out to go one better than on their latest outings. The latter in particular should come on for what was his first run since 2001 when second at Hereford. We will still take Jaybejay to come out on top though.
