Verdict
Jarro looked the likely winner at Sandown last time out when a bad mistake at the last saw him get caught close home. That was only a moderate contest, however this is little stronger and despite his tendency to make the odd mistake when put under pressure, the likely favourite looks primed to go well. Philip Hobbs has his string in great order at present and his representative Cameron Bridge opened his account over fences at Exeter last time out. The seven-year-old was a surprise winner on that occasion due to the ground being softer than ideal and with conditions to suit here he is an obvious danger. Lord York finished very tired over further in a hurdle race at Sedgefield last time and will appreciate this drop back to his optimum distance. He is returned to fences with the hope that a couple of runs over hurdles may have rekindled his enthusiasm, as when last seen over the larger obstacles he had totally lost his way. He is probably best watched. Super Nomad too ran over hurdles last time and put in a respectable performance. He though had previously come back to form with a good second at Doncaster and he is taken to build on that at a decent price here.
