In depth

Verdict

Brockton Mist has not been seen since a well beaten third in a good novice at Folkestone. He has not yet scored over fences and has yet to impress with his jumping ability. However on his novice form he has been given a weak contest for his handicap debut and has to be considered in this company. Mary Reveley has been suffering a quiet spell but the last week has seen signs that her horses are coming back to form and it may be worth taking a chance with Left Bank. He scored recently at Wetherby for just his second ever career win, however he remains well weighted and with drier conditions really playing to his strengths at present he could take some passing. Dirk Cove put in an improved performance at Folkestone last time which seemed largely to be down to a switch to front running tactics. He is feasibly well weighted at present but would probably benefit from a step back in trip. Native Peach was a good hurdler who now makes his debut over fences, however after more than a year off the track is very difficult to weigh up. Lord Broadway ran well in a weak race at Huntingdon last time but is set a stiff task here from out of the handicap.
