In depth

Verdict

Sutton Veny looks to be treading water off her current mark and Arctic Lynx has gone up 11lb since December despite not winning. AVONMORE STAR struggled last year but has returned to form of late and won at Brighton before going close again last time. Placed off a 13lb higher mark last season, Richard Hannon's charge gets the vote. Clear Praise should go well despite stepping back up in class while Cut Across was beaten by the narrowest of margins on his handicap debut and there should be more to come from him and also the lightly-raced Foxtrot India. Wooden King looks best of the rest despite a below par effort last time.
