Verdict

Something Silver has had 24 of his 36 career starts on this track and won twice here though he's well held by another course specialist, Sammy Spiderman, on the balance of form. Samson Collonges attracted support at Sedgefield last month though it's difficult to know why and he never got into the argument after early mistakes while Paddys Unyoke has been well beaten recently. Celian made all over 3m1f on heavy ground at Hexham last time and has only been raised 4lb. He'll make a bold bid if in the same mood but has refused in the past and isn't the most reliable. HOLE IN ONE has a bit of scope and has improved with each of her three starts over fences. She is no world-beater but won't need to make much more progress to take this moderate contest.
