In depth

Verdict

Desertmore Star, four times a winner between the flags in Ireland, has shown nothing for a very long time while Irish raider Cilliseal, a point-to-point winner at Toomebridge in May, has been beaten a distance in three maiden hurdles subsequently and makes his chasing debut. Double Default is hardly consistent but loves testing conditions and ran his best race of last year when a close second to Sammy Spiderman over the C&D n March. EDGE OF TOWN scored twice over timber and could hardly have made a more impressive start over fences when slamming three rivals at Hexham last month. That was his first start since March of 2010 and he looks a chaser to follow this year.
