In depth

Verdict

Vittachi won this last year from a 5lb higher mark but it looks a better contest this time around and he was beaten by Forrest Flyer here in August. The latter has run poorly on soft ground in two runs this campaign but will be much more at home on today's going. Schmooze was well beaten on his only start beyond 1m4f and Cosmic Moon has yet to prove he stays this far but GOODLUKIN LUCY has no problems with the trip and gets the verdict. Dianne Sayer's mare, a winner over hurdles at Wetherby in April, arrives here in winning form having scored over 1m5f at Musselburgh and a 5lb rise looks manageable.
