        Verdict

        Irish raider Elusive Gent has won once in 48 starts but he's been going well on ground with some give and should make the frame. Galilee Chapel's last victory was on soft ground in April but he's now 10lb higher so the vote in a poor contest goes to SPIRIT OF THE SEA. Jim Goldie's filly hasn't had as much experience as most of these but she was noted going on strongly over a mile at Musselburgh last time and this should be her trip. Hail Bold Chief has finished last in both runs this campaign but would have a shout on his narrow defeat at Carlisle in August.
