Verdict

MASTER FRANCA is dropped in grade this afternoon and connections will hope this can be a catalyst to victory following two fair efforts so far. Sennockian ran a solid race here on debut and the locals are sure to get behind Scots-born Joe Fanning. Karl Burke has got back among the winners so Strong Request could prove that Ripon debut to be all wrong. Appellant went for decent money at the sales and the Kodiac colt is closely related to a number of previous winners. Vantheman ran with promise on debut at Haydock Park and cannot be ruled out.
