Verdict

Lucinda Russell is better known for her successes with National Hunt performers but she’s perfectly capable with her Flat runners and RORY THE CAT could be still in off a very handy mark at present. Spirit Of Ash responded positively to the application of a hood on her latest start and she will be a factor this afternoon. Braes Of Doune does need to reverse Newcastle form with Triston Davidson’s charge but did perform with credit here in June. Stelios appeared a little unlucky in running at Beverley while Copia Verborum ran in Group races when trained by Jim Bolger but that seems an awful long time ago.
