Verdict

Laird Of Monksford followed a promising run in a Hexham maiden last May with a poor effort on his comeback last month where he hardly jumped a hurdle. He'll need to do much better here as SIMMPLY SAM showed her first sign of ability when runner-up to Lights Of Broadway at Catterick and would only need to make normal progress to land the spoils. Spring Over was handed the race on a plate over three miles here last month while Mighty Cliche has been alternating between hurdles and fences and is better handicapped over the bigger obstacles. Northern Acres has won four times over timber and looks best of the remainder.
