In depth

Verdict

Colour Contrast won at Musselburgh a couple of times at the start of last season but is usually hard to win with. He was slowly away on his reappearance but better is expect today. The ground may have turned against last month’s course and distance winner and Roaring Forties and Chaplin Bay have also shown a liking for this track. Lagenda ran poorly at Musselburgh on Friday but Lucky Violet is looking well treated, though has also been out of sorts. GREAT COLACI has looked a reformed character since reverting to the Flat, staying on at Thirsk after winning at Newcastle – he’s still on a fair mark.
