In depth

Verdict

Touch Tone would go close on last year's best form but was well beaten on her belated reappearance and may need another run before hitting top gear. Music Festival was sent off favourite over C&D last time but found one too good. He'll be looking to make amends here but could be foiled by SPES NOSTRA. The latter landed his maiden from a subsequent winner over C&D last month and, with further progress on the cards, David Barron's charge can follow-up on his handicap debut. Drive Home is upped in class after his recent win at this track, but last week's Beverley runner-up Just The Tonic has decent claims.
