Verdict
Dream Tonic won with plenty in hand at Thirsk last week and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent Mick Channon's colt from following up so he gets the vote ahead of Zendaro and Bentley Brook. The last mentioned has struggled in handicaps since landing his maiden at Chepstow in May and is probably best watched under the burden of top weight, while Storm Chase is creeping up in the weights despite not winning. Burnley Al did not seem to stay 1m2f at Beverley last time and may do better back in distance today. Lincolneurocruiser has claims on the pick of his form but has given little sign of encouragement of late and of more interest may be Hansomelle, who has dropped to a fair mark. Mark Brisbourne's Zendaro has been running consistently well of late and has to be respected, but Dream Tonic is going the right way at present and he gets the vote.
