Verdict

A big weight has proved no barrier to winning this in the past and we fancy FUNNY STAR to continue recent trends. Very lightly raced, he can be excused his run at Aintree, his first since October, and has a lot more scope than today's rivals. Walkabout Creek would have been interesting had he not been due to run here yesterday but Green Flag should go well back over a shorter trip and Orsippus isn't badly treated on his best form and neither is Arctic Court. Duaiseoir has gone up 5lb since finishing second at Fontwell, however, and Rock Relief may struggle to confirm recent course running with Hollo Ladies on worse terms. Kaylif Aramis is also climbing the weights and may be in the handicapper's grip now.
