Verdict
Not much form to work on but Franklins Gardens sets a fair standard and is the TEAMtalk selection to make his previous experience count. The Mark Tompkins stable has a good record at this venue and this Halling colt colt put up a most encouraging debut effort when staying on to good effect over this trip at Yarmouth earlier in the month. Sure to have improved significantly this Dewhurst entrant will take plenty of beating. Beau Artiste has shown some ability to finish runner-up on both starts but his overall form looks short of what is required so it would come as no surprise if either of the Mark Johnston newcomers Amundsen and Coolbythepool proved a bigger danger with the former preferred on jockey bookings although neither hold a big race engagement.
