Verdict

Roaring Forties has finished second twice at Musselburgh recently but probably needs to find a bit more to go one better here. Royal Connoisseur has done all of his winning over shorter and may struggle to last home in the conditions but stablemate Right Action has decent claims having only gone up a pound since going close at Epsom. JAY KAY (NAP) was only seventh in this last year but is now 8lb lower less his young rider’s claim. He has a decent record on this track overall and form on soft ground so will be hard to keep out of the firing-line. Valentino Boy is also worthy of consideration while Inglorious looks the pick of the Dalgleish runners.
