Verdict

An impossible-looking finale to end day one of the Western meeting further complicated by the fact that Suwaan was due to run yesterday at Beverley. Several stables have more than one runner with Oriental Lilly looking the pick of Jim Goldie’s quartet. Grandad's World was probably unlucky at Epsom last week and is well treated nowadays but won’t enjoy the going. It was soft when GRANNY ROZ won a maiden handicap at Ripon and she’s only found one too good in a couple of subsequent starts. David Barron’s filly gets a speculative vote though Nuns Walk is unexposed and probably capable of better. Perfect Words and the penalised Dawoodi are others to consider but Jabbarockie was beaten a long way in his only previous run in a handicap.
