Verdict
Whippasnapper can land the finale, with She's Our Lass seen as a bigger danger than the likes of Legal Set, Luke After Me and Golden Spectrum. Whippasnapper has won six times in all, half of those coming on Lingfield's Polytrack, but John Best's four-year-old has adapted well to turf again, scoring at Leicester in April. That came on the back of a good effort at Windsor, and of late he has continued to go close, posting another solid effort when second to Sawwah at Redcar. That showed that he does not have a problem racing over seven furlongs, and he will be strongly fancied to gain his first success over that trip today. She's Our Lass is the only three-year-old in the line-up and gets plenty of weight off the others. Declan Carroll's filly opened her account in soft ground at Warwick the time before last, but then ran well on better going when unlucky in running at Nottingham. That was over a mile, and she too will be suited by the slight drop back in trip. Of the remainder, Luke After Me is consistent enough to be preferred over Golden Spectrum and Legal Set. Whippasnapper will be a popular choice and can send favourite backers home happy.
