In depth

Verdict

Kelso winner Dark Glacier was disqualified after wandering off a straight line and hampering runner-up Triptico at Newcastle earlier this month. Chris Grant's gelding will be fancied to gain compensation here but faces no easy task giving weight to a couple of once-raced rivals in Otterburn and BYGONES SOVEREIGN. The former was only beaten half-a-length by All That Remains at Market Rasen 16 days ago, but the latter looked as though he'd come on a bundle for his Sedgefield fourth and could be hard to beat today. Four Fiddlers was third over C&D last month but a long way behind Dark Glacier previously and looks to have little hope of reversing that form with the top weight today.
