Verdict
Another tough race to call here for punters with many in form rivals in opposition including Skippers Cleuch, Giocomo and Jordan's Ridge and we will take a chance on Skippers Cleuch despite top weight. The gelding from the Len Lungo yard was a good second behind Gunner Welburn last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Giocomo has been in fair form in small fields of late he defeated Silk Trader last time but he will find this harder under his penalty in what looks a much stronger race. Jordan's Ridge has been in good form over hurdles of late but he has never won off a mark this high before and for that reason he is opposed. Byron Lamb is another that would have a chance on his best form but he ran as if in the handicappers grip when fourth behind Supreme Catch on his last run. Of the remainder Robbo has the ability to win if he ordains to put his best foot forward but for the winner we return to Skipper Cleuch.
