Verdict
Laoch Dubh is not certain to take part in this contest having run at Stratford yesterday and a safer bet looks to be Incorporation, who gets the vote over Caliban. The last mentioned was still going well prior to unseating last time at Worcester and had shown reasonable form prior to that as well so he has to be respected. Cheeky Lad disappointed behind Oumeyade in an admittedly better race at Worcester when last seen in June and has claims on earlier form but may be a shade high in the weights. Jonjo O'Neill's Country Escape has given little sign for encouragement of late and preference is for Incorporation, who has shown a good and consistent level of form of late and he looks the one they all have to beat.
