Verdict

Having finished second four times in a row, PAT’S PEARL can hardly be a confident selection. However, she’s been running in handicaps that have been more competitive than this and cheekpieces may just encourage John McConnell’s raider to finally put her head in front. Jazz Thyme is already an eight-year-old and is now 0-14, though was only beaten a neck by a subsequent winner at Stratford last month. Tara's Rainbow has every chance on official ratings but was flattered by her close second to Passmore in June.
