In depth
Verdict
This looks to be a virtual match between Denman and Black Jack Ketchum with preference for the former. Black Jack Ketchum was undefeated in bumpers and has carried on the winning vein in three starts over hurdles, latterly when landing a Grade 2 contest over this trip at Cheltenham. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding obviously has to be respected but Denman has looked a classy individual in winning his three starts, most notably when an impressive winner of the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle and a reproduction of that Cheltenham form should suffice. Of the remainder neither One Sniff nor Abraham Smith make much appeal and Fibre Optics, a stablemate of Black Jack Ketchum, may just be the pick of them but Denman looks a horse to keep on the right side of and he gets the vote.
